POWER LINE MARKERS
SpanBRITE Line Markers are an advanced development in
making power lines visible to low flying aircraft, even at night, thus
protecting valuable power lines and saving lives.
 The
exclusive SpanBRITE coating makes the markers visible at night.
SpanBRITE markers are international orange, or white, or yellow during
the day and have been tested as visible to 2500 feet away at night
with helicopter landing lights. They can be seen at 750 feet at night
with a small flash light.
SpanBRITE markers can be supplied in the same
construction as SpanGUARD/HeliMARK markers, with our REDBELL universal
markers at less cost.
SpanBRITE
Orange markers, whether SpanGUARD or Redbell are
excellent in the daytime. They are difficult to see at night. We have
had good success in making the markers much more visible to airplanes
at night by installing three 1-1/2" strips of reflective tape around
the marker. We have looked at Phosphor paints; however, they are slow
acting to glow in response to flashing aircraft lights. Reflective
tape is better.
